As the Executive Director of The Vermilion at Eastridge, Angie LeBlanc approaches each day as an opportunity to learn something new about the residents in our community. Angie is passionate about promoting positive change and personal growth among the community.
During her time in long-term care, her greatest achievement is building long-lasting relationships with the residents and families she’s served. Angie, nicknamed “a special angel” by residents, is always willing to go the extra mile to make sure her residents are feeling happy and fulfilled.
Angie brings over seven years of experience in long-term care. She has experience working in several health units, including pediatrics, nurseries, postpartum, pain management, same-day surgery, geriatrics, and social services. Angie is a past board member of the Vermilion Parish Council of Aging and a member of the Vermilion Chamber of Commerce. She is also on the education committee of the Louisiana Assisted Living Association and holds an ARCP Executive Director and Leadership certification.
Our Resident Services Director Maria Scalisi is new to long-term care, but she has fallen in love with the rewarding work of being at The Vermilion at Eastridge! Maria’s career as a nurse arose from her passion for working with people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds.
Providing care and support to our residents gives her a chance for more individual interaction, which brings her extra joy. She looks forward to establishing and developing continued relationships with residents every day.
With over 15 years of nursing experience in numerous fields, Maria has enjoyed personally interacting with her patients on a daily basis. She always loves to smile and is often called a “ray of sunshine” for the smiles she brings to patients each day. Throughout her nursing career, she has been on multiple board committees, from patient satisfaction to employee education committees.
